I have a theory.
In Gen 1, 2, 5, and 7, you don't save the world in the story.
In all the others, you do.
As someone who really loved gen 2, 5, and 7, I think there may be a correlation. How do you guys feel about it?

Only way I can see it correlating is if they said, like;
>nihilego were portaling in and fucking with people like with Lusamine
or something

I meant more how you feel after experiencing the story. I guess I just like stories where the world isn't resting in the hands of an 11 year old and his pet otter. It seems like a cliche in and of itself to "save the world".

I like the stories that have lower stakes and are more personal. Though I wouldnt include Gen 7, since Lusamine was really gonna fuck things up with the UB attack.
I also connect more to a region when the adventure feels more believable.

idk, i felt like the tapus kinda had everything under control. Seemed like a Hawaii problem, not an Earth problem.

An ultra beast escaping, Guzzlord in particular, would cause plenty of havoc, though
