Even though Alola is based on Hawaii the game doesnt really feel tropical.

The only island that does feel tropical is MeleMele

Akala has Lush Jungle but apart from that it doesnt feel tropical, even the Volcano doesnt help

UlaUla feels everything but tropical, same with Poni

I felt like the off island in Sinnoh, the one that contained the Fight Area, Resort Area and Survival Area was more tropical than this game. However, if they were going for: Hawaii has become a tourist infested land that now thrives off tourism more than it does its own culture, they nailed it right on the head.

It really irks me how many people have this misconception of what island life is like, but I guess I can blame television for making you believe its nothing but jungle, beaches and palm trees.

Nah, I live on a tropical island myself. Felt right at home playing this with the exception of Poni Island and PreE4 mountain because my island has nothing like that.
