Exp share was surprisingly balanced this gen, I had it on all game and I hardly over leveled the trainers. It also helps the trainers have 31IVs and EV spreads

So for a non-nuzlock challenge playthrough you'd have something like this I assume:
>Starter pokemon and or non-legendary wild pokemon only.
>Can't use traded pokemon from other games, in-game trades are fair game.
>Items aren't allowed in battle except for any kind of pokeball, x-items, or escape items like pokedolls.

>No wild battle exp grinding. Trying to find certain pokemon to catch or wild held items like light clay from Mudbray is fair game though as long as you don't defeat them.

That being said, I don't include "THE GAMES TOO EASY" as a complaint for the game, because I didn't expect the game to be hard. That doesn't change the fact that Trials are just flat-out too short because they're nearly all just three OHKOs in a row, among several other things made too short by being so quick to defeat.

In my own autistic perfect game every battle would be with battle tree rules. All pokes reset to the same level, no healing in battle, no duplicate items.

But that would be too easy unless gf wants to implement good ai for every character

I've never used a legendary ingame except when I had to (Black). I imagine most people are the same.

SM might be the hardest mainline Pokémon game at least since RBY, but that doesn't mean it's super hard compared to some other games.
