Max affection = literally brain dead easy mode. I regret playing around and giving my team max affection. I beat the e4 and cousin and I felt like I literally cheated. There was one point where my mon focus sashed like 3 times in a row and I was landing crits every 2-3 attacks plus all the dodges and a few status affliction breaks. Fucking ridiculous, I was 10 levels under too. I ain't doing that shot again next play through.

I can say it's barely different without the affection boosts.
I didn't touched that thing Except for Nebby which wasn't in my league party
And while of course I suffered a lot with Rock bitch (All that Flying types to catch around the islands are a bait to fail her fight) it become easy once I started actually using items.

For main game I dislike using it, but I'll be damned if affection isn't the most useful thing in the planet when hunting the ultra beasts or shinies.
