You could always just git gud and buy one with BP. You don't need perfect IVs to get 48 BP (or was it less?) with relative ease. Just doing 20 of a normal challenge will give you that

With held items I usually have better luck finding them on the given pokemon on the GTS. I'm not sure if people tend to not notice that they are still holding the item or are doing it to make the trade happen faster, but either way it's usually faster
