pokemon sun and moon are not main line games
there are no gyms, no elite 4, no champions, nothing that defines what a pokemon game is, aside from carrying the pokemon brand and having pokemon in it. The journey is gone, replaced with minigames.
Calling pokemon sun and moon generation 7 would be like calling the elder scrolls: battlespire TES 3.

If you honestly think that gym leaders of past generations have been more included in the story than the trial captains are you're so fucking wrong. At least all the trail captains had lovable personalities other than just their typing. Some low quality bait.
