What I don't understand is how the UI seems to cause a lot of lag.

2DS user here, never noticed any lag from tauros ride, and the only lag I had on refresh was from an alolan exeggutor

This game uses more resources than X/Y. Why do you think the menus are so much more convenient? The in-state trainer models are present in every battle too and constantly moving. It's decent on the the n3DS but I remember the demo being shit on my o3DS. Tradeoff for high polycount models and intuitive UI.

Play the game on O3DS, double and totem battles lag to shit, Battle Royale is worse than that one video with the ORAS triple battle and the XY Six Moltres battle, managed to snag a 100 N3DS online that comes in later this week
