>everyone talks crazy shit about how much he'll suck pre release
>ends up being fucking amazing

What's your favourite type to give him, /vp/?
>>
>>30309867
>ends up being fucking amazing
I mean, he's not garbage, but he's nowhere near levels of amazing.
>>
>>30309867
>fucking amazing
amazing at what? being mediocre?

the movepool is good but the stats aren't good enough to work with them, especially since it can't hold an item (unless you go with normal silvally, in which case you're probably outclassed)
>>
>>30309867
what the fuck are you talking about? i'll be amazed if he sees play in nu
>>
>>30310003
Almost 100 all is nothing to sneeze at.
That almost the sheer infinite potential of a Mew
>>
>>30310008
Come back when you know competitive.
>>
>>30310023
>That almost the sheer infinite potential of a Mew

Mew has the best movepool in the game, Silvally, while good, can't come close to it.
>>
>>30310023
fantastic point, it's basically a garbage version of mew

lacks recovery, lacks an ability, lacks an item, lacks significant utility, only benefit is that it's capable of being any type
>>
>>30309867
I'm not sure.

I kinda wanna give it Draco Meteor and Multi-Attack on a set.

Not sure what type would complement Draco Meteor.
>>
Memories cuck you out of an item slot, Alolan Persian does parting shot better, 95 across the board isn't nearly as good as it used to be.

But you could rig it to swords dance and explode, so I guess there's some merit in that.
>>
>>30309867
Steel, I give him iron head, protect, and parting shot.
He's a fantastic pivot.
>>
Best Speed nature build?
>>
I mean it's great if you don't evolve it and give it an evolite.

>Type: Full will never be a thing
>Type: Full will never have EVERY TYPE

Type: Full would have 8 immunities, have 1/16th resistances to bug and grass, and would only be weak to Rock.
>>
It's stupid that the type-changing gimmick eats up its ability slot. That would be like Pikachu's ability being "Ball Groper: This Pokemon can hold a Light Ball to increase its Attack stat".
>>
>>30310219
Well, they are trying to copy Arceus' multitype ability
>>
>>30310210
I thought Type:Full IS Silvally and Gladion just renamed it?
>>
>>30310210
I'm glad you took the time to consolidate that data here, I considered figuring it out but I didn't care enough
>>
>>30310260
Type Full would have be every type, not just change between types.

Since it couldn't, they dubbed it a failure and changed it to Null
>>
>>30310219
Always hated gimmicky abilities. I wish it had the same boost As Arceus and kept the 1.2 boost when holding a specific memory drive. If only Silvally got E-Speed too...

Ability gimmicks ruin lots of Pokémon, I wish Zygarde's Complete form was permanent and not tied to a gimmicky zen mode ability and kept Aura Break
>>
>>30309867
RKS System should have let it keep the Normal type and add a second one. Normal/Ghost would have been pretty neat.

Why are you in this thread if you don't know shit about Silvally? Everything is explained ingame, dunce.
>>
>>30309867
expert belt + special movepool>>>>>>memory

which means it basically runs without an ability
>>
>>30310301
Arceus' ability also got a bit of a change in that Z-stones change his type appropriately too so he can actually make use of them while Silvally can't
>>
>>30309867
>ability that makes you waste an item slot just to change types

IT COULD HAVE GOT PROTEAN
>>
>>30310318
It's Null, not Full.
>>
>>30310210
I'm still mad Arceus Multitype is not like inConquest- every hit is SE on you, and every hit on arecus is NVE.
>>
>>30309867
I prefer type: null with eviolite. It can take hits like a champ and the mask makes it cuter.(But thats just my opinion.)
>>
>>30310210
>105 in every stat
>STAB on every move
>that defensive typing
>immune to all nonvolatile status effects (since it's Poison, Steel, Fire, Ice and Electric-type) except for Sleep, unless it's caused by Sleep Powder or Spore

Why not? because GF will never take the time to program this into the game
>>
What pokemon is he made of?
>>
>>30310210
They should make that with 150 in every stat but it's ability makes it overload and faint after 6 turns
>>
>>30309867
I fucking adore chimera Pupper's design but I wish it's stats weren't almost kingdra's level of eh
I was legitimately expecting something that was meant to be aggressive, I.e. high offenses and high speed, but average defenses, where type:null would've been the opposite, but the health stayed the same
But all isn't bad for the poor adorable monstrosity as it has a niche being what ever type you want, plus a better version of most standard physical moves and great abusability of choice items
So it's definitely not bad, but we were expecting something more offensive and living up to its description
>>
>>30310340
Read the notebooks in the Aether Lab. Type: Null was originally named Type: Full, but they renamed it after every model went berserk.
>>
>>30310340
>not even playing the game
These are the same people calling recent Pokemon games bad
>>
>>30310008

He's 95 across the board even if he has the shittiest of movesrts he won't be nu lol
>>
>>30310210

into PU it goes
>>
>>30310210
Mega/Primal Arceus would probably be the one to do that first.

>>

>>
>>30310008
OP is overselling and you're being an ignorant faggot.
It will be a niche OU pick if we're being generous but RU at the least
>>
He gets walled by prankster sableye, dropped this fucker without a second thought
>>
>>30311071
Also, distribute your EVs evenly across all stats.
>>
>>30309867
I haven't really been keeping up in Gen 7 competitive play, but how exactly is Silvally amazing? I mean, it's not BAD in any sense, but it's just kinda... alright. Certainly doesn't seem like it's on the same level as legendary pokemon.

Over all it's just kinda... alright. There's nothing interesting about it, it's just an average version of Arceus..
>>
>tfw reset for a naive Null but realised mixed is shit afterwards because it can't hold a life orb and it gives up some of its bulk which is the only good thing

Oh well, it wasn't good anyway. Fun gimmick set for the battle tree, maybe.
>>
>>30310210

If they ever make a Primal/Mega Arceus it has the potential to be broken as shit.

Primal Arceus

Base 150 in every stat. BST: 900.

Ability: Omnitype - Arceus uses its plates to change types and give itslef an advantage during battle.

> Sent out Arceus!
> Stealth Rock
> Arceus became Steel-type, took 6.25 damage.
> Spikes
> Arceus became Flying type
> Toxic Spikes
> Arecus became Poison type
> The Toxic Spike were absorbed
> Enemy Landorus used Earthquake
> Arceus became the Flying type
> Enemy Sableye used Will-o-wisp
> Arceus became the Fire type
> Thundurus used Prankster Thunderwave
> Arceus became Ground or Dark type
> Enemy Milotic used Scald
> Arceus became Grass type
> Scald burned
> Arceus became Fire type
> Player is trying to switch Arceus out
> Enemy Arena Trap/Shadow Tag
> Arecus became Ghost type
> Player withdrew Arceus
>>
>>30313008
This is why retards shouldn't post
>>
>>30311089
>not running Fairy Silvally
You deserve to loose to a Sableye.
>>
>>30310405
>Sleep Powder and Spore
Immune to powder based moves and leech seed as well since Grass.
>>
>>30309867
So does this thing change appearance based on its current type like Arceus or does it always look the same?

I really wish he wasn't this shit

He's OK at gluing your team up I guess if anything. If you can't find a replacement poke which is really rare

I dont like a lot of the ground types in this gen aesthetically so i'll go with ground silvally for my team, still debating whether I go sleeptalk, attack or special attack

This is a set imma try to go with most likely
>>
>>30310395
Literally inferior Porygon2.
>>
>>30311262
That's how it is, more or less.
On the Special side, it could be a thing if it got Calm Mind or Nasty Plot.

Physically, it gets Swords Dance and Explosion, but no Extremespeed and needing to use Ele Fangs for coverage (No Stone Edge/EQ) sucks.

Memories not even giving it a 10% boost also sucks. Lack of any form of recovery beyond ResTalk sucks. If any of the above is rectified, I could see it getting a lot more use.

Right now, its only got decent bulk and a surprise factor, all with an average-ish movepool.
>>
>>30313469
Ground silvally feels like a waste. It has like no ground moves.
>>
>>30314228
You could go attack and use multi attack for a ground move, but yeah, no other ground moves.

I'm picking ground here purely for the defensive typing that my team is lacking.
>>
>>30314228
It gots its own version of judgment though
>>
>>30310059
>best movepool in the game
>doesn't even have crabhammer

So why is this thing called Silvally instead of Type: One?

>>30310330
Hey kid, wanna buy some Protean?
>>
>>30314276
Because A. Type "One" sounds fucking lame, B. Gladion name it Silvally as a testament to their relationship.
The name itself is Silver + Ally, as in he's silver instead of gold because he's a knockoff Arceus.
>>
>>30310340
t. Illiterate
>>
>>30314313
>Gladion name it Silvally as a testament to their relationship
Shouldn't it be just Gladion's one that's nicknamed Silvally then
>>
>>30314329
Gladion is the only person in the world with a Silvally besides you.
>>
>>30314276
>Type: One
Ugh... no. Type Null was named "Type Full" when was created but its RKS System didn't work, so was renamed and confined in that helmet. When Type Null fully trusts Gladion evolves in a new pokemon whose biological system accept the RKS System and break the helmet. That pokemon is a "totally new" specie, so Gladion is who gives its name, "Silvally", his "silver ally".
Silvally is a Type Null that works properly ("Type Full").
>>
>>30313469
Silvally can't really hit hard without STAB Explosion/200BP Breakneck Blitz or SD. If I had to make a Ground Silvally set for that team I think I'd go with Toxic+Parting Shot with Ground Multi-Attack to hit Steel and Poison types.
>>
>>30314378
Silvally ISNT Type: Full though, because it can only load a single memory at a time, and can't swap between them.
>>
>>30314417
>implying some pokemon can hold 2 or 17 items
Silvally is what was conceived as Type Full, even if that "full" in its name makes no sense
>>
>>30314507
No.
Look at the pokedex
Base form silvally is called Type: Normal.
Others are called Type: Ice, Type: Ground, Type: Poison, etc
>>
>>30314507
nigga go read a book
>>
So can it actually defeat all of the Ultra Beasts?
>>
>>30314518
>Base form silvally is called Type: Normal.
>Others are called Type: Ice, Type: Ground, Type: Poison, etc
So..? Is a pokemon able to change between all those forms, Type Fire, Grass, Water, Poison, Dragon, etc. Since can change to all types, Type FULL as name is OK. What do you expect, combine all types at the same time?
>>
>>30314822
THATS LITERALLY WHAT IT WAS SUPPOSED TO DO. That's why it was renamed Type Null, because it couldn't do that, and they went berserk when they tried to, so they put the helmets on them and canned the project.

Silvally is a naturally evolution of Type: Null trusting its trainer enough to cycle through the types, but it still can't use them all like it was literally designed to do.
>>
>>30315110
No?
It was designed to be Arceus 2.0, and even Arceus had to held items to change between types.
Only reason they scrapped the project was because Type: Full went berserk all the time, but it still did what it was supposed to do. Silvally is literally Type: Full just calmed down.

This is the damage modifier chart for a theoretical pokemon with all types.
The right column is if immunities were removed.

For fun, the bottom half is for inverse battles. Except I missed a 0 and the fighting modifier should be 2.

Since it cant run Calm Mind/NP, how would a mix Silvy with Work Up?

Work Up (Z Work Up)
Flamethrower
Tri-Attack/Multi Attack/Double Edge
Explosion/Crunch/Draco Meteor(?)

Not sure how well it'd work. STAB DE after the boost should be decently hard hitting, but Multi-Attack can probably work if recoil is too much of an issue. Tri-Attack gives you a special Normal Attack, but its not as powerful as the other skills.

Flamethrower gives you a surprise for Steel Types who think they can wall your normal attacks.

Explosion for an all out Nuke is useful, especially when boosted, as is Draco Meteor if you've removed Steel Types. Crunch keeps Ghosts from walling you

Normalium Z gives you the chance to use Z Work Up to set up, or if you're running explosion, two normal type nukes by blowing the Z move on Explosion and exploding afterwards.
>>
>>30309867
Really thinking a modest one with good coverage and work up is the way too go. Wish I could breed it for IV's. Anyone gen pokemon want to make my day?
>>
I love this thing. But it has the potential for so much more.

I'd wait for Move Tutors to give it new tools to work with.
