I got you, Xurkitree, Buzzwole and Guzzlord are my favorite UBs.
I've been having them injected whenever a threads up so I can use the trio in the Battle Tree.

I feel like the origami mon is one of the coolest designs I've seen in any gen, but he's never talked about. Is he super weak or something?

Pretty sure they count as legendaries. I think gamefreak adding in so many UBs is supposed to soften us up to the idea of actually using legendary pokemon as opposed to just thinking of them as trophies, the title of 'legendary' is pretty arbitrary anyway since they all vary greatly in how useful they are

I used to feel the same about legendaries but I stopped caring when I realized many of them aren't even that good. Articuno is garbage for example.
I'll use one legends I like it's design enough.

Thats true, But most mon's have balanced stats that keep them from being great, kommo-o wasn't a favorite of mine because of its mixed attacking stats keeping it from being 'too good'

the beasts on the other hand have very strong dedicated stats that actually make them very powerful despite their pretty ordinary bst.

They aren't even that great though, well not all of them. They all have lower bases stats than pseudos, they just have them more efficiently distributed to show what each is capable of doing.
