Make rewards more unique. Emerald and Platinum had symbols and prints while Sun and Moon only offered items which, let's face it, will be available in the next set of games. You can battle alongside famous characters from the Pokemon franchise, but again, it's essentially nothing new. The Battle tree isn't worth wasting your time over.
