Are these really the same plush? The US version looks so much lower quality. Maybe it's just the lighting, but the seams are way more pronounced and the tail looks weird. The Japanese one's nose/mouth sticks out more, which looks nicer. The US one looks flat.

Yeah, they're made out of different material clearly. I don't know if there was a different release in japan as the one in the first pic was from a limited campaign, but the pattern used is certainly the same. Also mine might have rolled a bit further to the side, I dunno.
