Objectively, what is the worst Pokemon type? Aesthetically and competitively?

Rock

Depends on what a person thinks is bad aesthetically.
There are some types where the Pokemon HAS to have a particular feature in order for its type to be recognizable, and some people might find that bad aesthetically. But others might not.

Competitively it's Rock, no doubt about it.
You can't really judge aesthetics objectively but anything based on a physical element is restricted by that element, at least if it's their primary type. A primary Fire type has to look like a Fire type, a primary Steel type has to look like a Steel type, etc.
Meanwhile something like a Psychic type or a Dark type can be a lot more varied because it isn't restricted by a rigid element that its design has to fit.
Normal, they're just my mom's pets.
