Pokemon isn't a cartoon, it's a live-action series in the games. Master Chuuster and Ash-Greninja were the actors who play them on the show. They sent Greninja to a trainer in Hawaii because it retired from acting and they thought it would enjoy living out the rest of its life battling in the tropics.

The room is in an old department store with many pikachu merchandise. Other pictures are kids' drawing of pikachu. It is safe to assume that those drawings come from children's playroom in toys store. Ash photo likely come from the in-universe cartoon, which mean children in Alola watch Ash-anime too, not that Ash exist.
