Why do you fuckers pretend this game is easy?
It's really not.
I made the mistake of playing with EXP. share off and turning battle style to set. I currently have three pokemon on my team and am at the third trial and its just way too hard. And I have a deep background in playing competitive.
1. My pokemon are way underleveled compared to other trainers. They tend to sit at around the same levels as the wild pokemon.
2 Every pokemon in the region is extremely slow. This makes it so often times you cant even run from wild pokemon. Try getting trapped in a battle with Tentacool who then uses wrap, and THEN calls an ally when you're just about to KO it. Or getting stuck in a battle against Salandits with fucking dragon rage at level 17. How is that even fair?
I'm probably gonna turn EXP. share off and maybe change the battle style soon.

I'm playing with those settings, and I just beat the third trial. I found it easier than the others, because I found out the key is to just status the fuck out of everything. Leech Seed/Stun Spore Cottonee and TWave Alakazam are my bread and butter. Might pick up a Mareanie for poison too.

I'll agree with this, the game is not easy. I'm constantly using potions and revives after battles, wouldn't be able to progress without them.

XY made everyone weak so GF gave many a reality check on difficulty.
