I wish everyone had access to a pokemon that could learn a move that put a pokemon to sleep and a move to get its hp down to zero. Also a move that doubles your prize money and stacks with Amulet Coin to quadruple your prize money. Give it a unique Z-move and Z-crystal. Make it available to everyone with a wi-fi connection.

I think it's a good mechanic too, but how is clogging your 'mon's movesets with status and capture moves any different than the game gating progress by HM use?
I've never used Thunder Wave or Hypnosis to catch a Pokémon... ever. But I guess that's because I don't feel the necessity. I don't think anybody should feel like they HAVE to use them to capture a 'mon.
It makes grinding a bit faster I guess.

You don't HAVE to use status moves, it just makes it easier. Not a problem for me, since I usually use status moves on certain mon.
I actually like this feature. I can't just spam attacks mindlessly and actually have to use at least a little bit of strategy. I think it was a good move.
