The design could be better. I love the idea of a fighting yeti crab, but it suffers from having a confident-looking pre evolution and drops that personality entirely. Still one of my favorite Aloan mons though.

Iron Fist is okay. Fur Coat(they probably thought it would break it) and Adaptability should've replaced it's other two abilities. It also should've gotten Ice Shard and Mach Punch. The fucker has potential, but Gamefreak has some kind obsession of making Ice types garbage/wasted opportunities.

Hail did get Aurora Veil and Slush Rush this gen. Although it still isn't enough to completely salvage Ice. Hail should really work like a free BrightPower for Ice types(makes Snow Cloak more ridiculous) and should allow Ice types to have an increased freeze chance when using their STAB. Protean pokemon that used an Ice move would not get these benefits.

I've never seen any major bitching about Ivysaur -> Venusaur. It's a frog to a bigger frog. Nothing major changes about its theme.

I've seen some complaining about Rhyhorn -> Rhydon, but never in the "They ruined it forever, it's completely different and terrible." sense. The main change there is standing up on two legs. It's not like Dragonite which is entirely out of left field.

And he gets cool moves like Crabhammer, Close Combat and Rock Slide. Ice Hammer gets the Iron Fist buff as well.
