Is this the new edgelord's ball?
I'm pretty sure everyone's using this ball because its so le cool.
It's a tenth as effective as a normal Poké Ball when used on anything other than an Ultra Beast.
Not to say that you can't use them.
>>30207120
What was the old edgelords ball?
>>30207232
Probably Dusk or Luxury. I used to use Dusk because it had the best catch modifier but now it had that weird black hole animation.
>>30207372
Luxury wasn't edgy. Probably the only ball with benefits. And treating your pokemon nice is not a bad thing.
Apricorn balls might have been, but now that they're back in SM, nah.
Dream Ball is probably the "edgy" ball, not in looks, but for that "le unique rare snowflake" factor.
>>30207412
Nice. My huge stock of dream ball riolus will pay off in the GTS then
I caught all my UB's in normal balls cause fuck it. If you use toxic, it's super easy. Hardest was Celesteela which took about 7 soft resets.
>>30207435
Probably. Unique ball animation, plus impossible to get new ones nowwithout pkhex.
Though Moon Ball is what I'd put my Lucy in.
>>30207372
Dusk had always been the one that was especially dark compared to the others.
I only used it for ultra beasts. Honestly I use whatever gets the job done since I don't have balltism.
>>30207120
>I'm pretty sure everyone's using this ball because its so le cool.
No I use it because they're the only Balls that work on Ultra Beasts.
Any have the animations for the balls?
>>30207680
Say that to the Nihilego, Guzzlord and 2 of the 4 Pheromosa's in normal ass pokeballs. The rest are in repeat, heavy and ultra balls. Only caught one Pheromosa in a beast ball just to put on a GTS for Buzzwole.
>>30207799
I spent 40 pokeballs trying to catch a Celesteela, so fucking excuse me if I said screw it and threw a beast ball.
>>30207120
How the fuck is blue and gold edgy?
>>30207412
>Dream Ball is probably the "edgy" ball
How is a fucking pink ball that makes a pink fart cloud edgy? Jesus fuck you guys are using this buzzword wrong.
>>30208338
It's cutting edge and top of the line, only attainable by the elite few.
>>30207120
>I don't like something because it's popular
>>30208351
So you're expected not to use it because some autists on a Vietnamese wind surfing blog decided to label it edgy because it's "rare"?
Don't get me wrong I think it's fucking stupid to use them on normal Pokemon, but I don't see ANY issue with catching UBs in them.
Does the Beast Ball pass via breeding?
I'm pretty sure it doesn't, just like Master or Cherish Ball, but can anyone confirm?
>>30208388
Well, we meant the dream ball.
>>30208431
Its heritable.
What Pokemon even suit this ball? Cresselia... Porygon maybe? I can't see myself using it on much but my balltism is bad
>>30208444
That just stupid, doesn't each one of them cost millions of dollars?
Whatever, time to get my ballism on.
>>30208388
>So you're expected not to use it because some autists on a Vietnamese wind surfing blog decided to label it edgy because it's "rare"?
Don't argue about it being considered edgy, that's double edgy.
>>30208435
I don't care how "rare" or "elite" it is. A dream ball is a fucking pink and purple musharna themed pokeball that makes a pink fart cloud every time it's opened. No edge lord is going to be caught dead using that.
>>30208446
Only Porygon and UBs really fit it if you're going for a theme.
>tfw you're too autistic and only use regular Pokeballs
I fucking hate having a team with a dusk ball, quick ball, great ball, etc... I need some consistency
>Beast and Dream balls are edgy
>Ya'llarestupid.jpg
That said, Manectric would look pretty baller on a Beast Ball. Shame about the catch rate
>>30208476
It's actually tens of billions.where the fuck did aether get 5 trillion dollars from?
>send out pokemon in a beast ball
>pokemon is named nilhego but is actually a tentacruel
>>30208511
Me too!
>>30208446
Porygon, Magnemite, uh
Maybe Voltorb?
Magearna might be fine but that's an event so it'll be Cherish anyway
Mostly just synthetic and man-made Pokemon would fit it, I'd say. I'm still going to put a bunch of extra shit in it for the sake of collecting.
>>30208527
Here you go, friend-o.
>>30208531
Where the fuck did it say that? Wicke only ever mentioned them being expensive and negative assets. They never stated a cash amount.
And even if that IS true, 1 million pokebucks is not that much cash. Looker straight gives you that much for finishing the UB questline.
>>30208527
>>30208577
Lol forgot pic.
>>30208494
This post was so edgy I accidentally cut myself on it
>>30207576
If you run out during a mission, Looker will give you another. If you give all of them to your PC box pokes, he will still give you more.
>>30208616
I don't know what ball to use for my moon team.
I'm thinking premier, since I deliberately didn't use it for my ORAS team so I could.
>>30208549
>not calling it Nihimegablocks
I've waited so long to get my moon ball shiny umbreon.. Now I don't know if I want it in a moon ball or a beast ball
So you only get a limited amount, right?
>>30211770
If there are still ultra beasts to catch, you can get extras one at a time whenever you have none.
>mfw trying to get Beldum in a Beast Ball
>>30209041
This joke makes me so happy, you have no idea
>>30212888
I can git ya one
>>30214001
Put up a 5IV lvl 1 female mimikyu, ot Chicken-chan. Thanks
>>30214158
Gimme a ssec to breed it.
>>30208338
Edgy: at the forefront of a trend; experimental or avant-garde
>le unique snowflake factor
I'd say it's the most accurate use of the word on this site
>>30207120
The only thing I was able to catch with it that wasn't an Ultra Beast was a Serperior, I ran out of them quickly
>>30214158
You're not showing up...
>>30207120
None here
>>30207653
>Not being a Balltist

Were you sniped?
>>30215078
Sorry, I had to leave for a bit. Yeah got sniped. Let me know when you're ready
>>30215305
Alright, you can put up another Mimikyu
>>30215370
Alright, should be there now
>>30207120
Can you catch regular Pokemon with beast balls?
Can you catch ultra beasts with regular balls?
>>30215411
Alright, it's there, thank you for the Mimikyu de yo
>>30215507
I caught a Serperior in a Beast Ball yesterday
>>30215597
Got it, thanks man
This is a real man's ball.
>>30208476
Just assume the day care gives out cheap replicas.
>>30208446
Metagross is the big one.
>>30207615
Goddamn it. Someone help me edit my PBR save file please?
>>30207120
I don't even have balltism, but Beast Balls should be used for UB and nothing else, and UBs should only be caught with Beast Balls. Perhaps it's just normal autism, but it's the truth
>>30208554
>Fucked up Timer Balls sexy animation by adding clocks to it
Fuck gen 7 for this alone
>>30207120
Newsflash autismo, people use generally whatever pokeball is the most effective for what they're trying to catch. It's not a fucking fashion statement. The Dusk Ball and Quick Ball are everywhere because their catch odds are best in the game.
>>30216040
I think you've missed the point of what's obviously a fashion ball thread
>>30207120
Yeah, I can't use this thing for anything but Ultra Beasts. Partially because it barely works, partially due to autistic headcanons.
>The Pokeball converts Pokemon to data/energy and stores them in stasis
>It also contains a device that sets the Pokemon's Happiness to 0 if it was lower (Pokemon that are violent toward humans/don't want to join you have negative happiness, so fixing this is why you can have Pokemon like Hydreigon or Gengar without them killing you)
>The Pokeball also provides a simulation to keep the Pokemon occupied while it's in stasis
>Normal Pokeballs aren't too fancy: They contain food, a bed, toys, and room to play
>The reason certain Pokeballs work better on some Pokemon is because they provide an environment better designed for that Pokemon or the device that makes them friendly is stronger
>i.e. the dusk ball provides a dark environment, which is more comfortable to nocturnal or ghostly Pokemon
>the ultra ball has a stronger capturing device, so it has an easier time convincing the Pokemon to stay inside
>Based on these assumptions, the Beast Balls work so well because they provide an environment that is very comfortable to the Beasts, and a device that is specially made to comfort them
>However, this environment and device would be scary and confusing to any non-UB Pokemon
>This is why the balls are terrible at catching non-ultra beats
>So, yes, this is the new edgelord ball, because although it looks cool, it sends your pokemon to a hellish realm they can't comprehend
>Perfect for DeviantAutists
Writing this out was super fun, so let me know if you want me to write up more ball descriptions/ go into more depth on catching Pokemon.
>>30217884
Write up some more ball descriptions. How are the environments for the Premier, Luxury, or the Apricorn balls?
>>30217884
Nest balls, Heal balls, Safari balls and Premier balls.
>>30217884
Tell me about the Master Ball and Quick Ball
>>30216040
Anon look up balltism.
>>30216035
That isn't new. The clock animation has been a thing since Gen IV.
>>30219116
I honestly havent noticed
They must've made it more prominent I just thought it was red and black dots
>>30219167
No, it was pretty in-your-face in Gen IV. The mini-clocks in Gen VII are definitely an upgrade.

Master Ball has always been a tricky one for me, since I can't decide whether it has the strongest Device in existence, is extremely comfortable, or both/neither. One fun little theory I had about it is that the simulator inside provides a flawless recreation of the outside world, so the Pokemon never thinks it was caught and doesn't bother resisting. It doesn't realize until the trainer sends it out, by which point the Device has made it complacent. However, because Master Balls apparently exist in multiples and are just very expensive, the most likely idea is that Devices get more expensive as their power increases, and the Master Ball has the strongest one currently existing. I'd also figure that it provides a near-perfect home for the Pokemon, if not the previously mentioned flawless copy of the world. (i.e. an icy, wide open cave for Articuno, a vibrant realm overflowing with life and growth for Xerneas, a cozy little town where a Mimikyuu can have adventures with its virtual friends, etc, etc)
As for the Quick Ball, I figure that its Device exploits the adrenaline/surprise/fear from the initial encounter with the Pokemon in order to make capture easier. As the Pokemon becomes less excited and its energy wanes, the ball has less to exploit and thus becomes less effective.
As for the inside, a friend and I were actually discussing what the inside of a quick ball is like since it's his favorite. His theory is that the floor is treadmills and there's Sonic the Hedgehog memorabilia everywhere. My (slightly more reasonable one) is that it's like a Pokeball with a blue and yellow theme, lots of arrows and lines in the decor, and soothing objects like plushes and candles to calm the Pokemon down after it's caught.
Really hope this thread doesn't die before I get to everyone, I intend to.
Yeah it's pretty edgy.

>>30219116
Before that
Pretty sure clocks were in the Timer Ball animation on the Gamecube games in Gen III.
>>30214914
>Dragon Ascent
>Skill Link
Why even bother
>>30214914
>Dragon Ascent
I only use standard Pokeballs because false swipe and paralyzing literally never fails
>>30207120
Used it on Porygon

>Stop liking what I don't like

it's only good on solgaleo, rotom and porygon and you cant even legally have it on those last two ;__;
>>30226586
not possible, fucker
