Literally every E4 member in the prior games was non-existent outside of the League so I didn't mind. Was nice to see a fresh face rather than the entire thing just be rematches with people I met/beat already.

It's probably my memory being shit, but the only E4 members I remember meeting before battling them were some from Sinnoh, if it happened with some others either I don't give enough fucks to remember or do not count because we met them in previous games

It feels like he got fed up with (life event) and just grabbed the nearest items (clubs) to start bashing things randomly. It's weird. In previous gens, we were so used to the E4 being randos we'd never met that never do anything that we never quesioned it. Now that we got 3/4 that were important beforehand, the fact that Golf Girl is like the E4 members of other regions is jarring to us.

If Guzma's character is getting this much focus, I'm getting increasingly convinced that he's going to be a champion in Stars. I mean, literally everybody loves Guzma and it would fit his character perfectly.

The golf course is really weird though. Things like Kalos' Power Plant or the Rhyhorn race track on Route 22 can still be seen as background decoration. Same for the upper part of Brooklet Hill or the Geothermal Power Station in Alola. You can't access them, but they're there in the background.

But the gold course is a huge part of the map that you can't even LOOK at.

It might be just for world buildin though.

BW is worse than SM in that regard.
Hala, Olivia and Acerola are very prominent in the game, and Kahili is mentioned and foreshadowed several times.
Marshall was the only one with a proper role outside the E4 in BW, Shauntal and Caitlin can only randomly appear in Cynthia's villa from time to time. Grimsley doesn't appear outside the league at all and if you count the Battle Tree as a proper encounter you meet him more often in SM than in BW.

She was the first one i did, so i was kinda disappointed to see Hala, Olivia and that ghost girl as other E4 members, hoping the E4 would be all new faces.
