Doesn't learn moves like power gem till 55 anyways unless you heart scale relearn which is the last poke center you get to

Has decent enough stats to get through the majority of the game as is due to it originally being a one stage pokemon

This is the first time I've ever used Misdreavus in a playthrough and I'm pleasantly surprised at how good it is. I thought it was a total shitmon, but it tanks things pretty well and hits back hard with T-Wave/Hex and Psychic.

Because Misdreavus doesn't start to fall behind until you get the diusk stone. Plus you can get one in the Pelago, and you can simply equip an Eviolite to it since its gonna be one of your last mons to evolve.

you can buy a Dusk Stone in the Community Center in Malie, don't know why they made it so pointlessly out of the way but at least it's there
