Just do Battle Royale, unlike the tree of anal plundering there's at least an element of randomness to each battle. As long as your team is varied enough you'll do well. Lead with a bulky Pokemon and then back it up with two sweepers that counter its weaknesses.

Just use the UBs on the Battle Tree, it won't be enough to clear it, but you can at least win 5 rounds on every go.

Battle Royale is painful.

Just do Multi Battle, let your AI partner do the work. Hell, get a level 1 Mimikyu with Protect and Focus Sash. Opponent will focus it like a retard while your partner sweeps.

Just had a really good run and beat Red on the 20th match. Using Tapu Koko, Mimikyu and my starter (the seal). It's bad times when I run into Ferrothorn, but I'm handling things pretty well between Mimikyu and Tapu.
So that's a Destiny Knot for me, and now time to start breeding some stuff
