If it's not the Speed in Alola that's making the mons ass, it's the fucking lack of movepool or the necessary requirements to get Pokemon to fucking learn anything decent at all

How the hell are you going to turn Exeggutor into a Dragon and only give it two moves that are Physical on the Grass type with one of the highest Special stats in the fucking game. How the fuck are you going to take Chlorophyll away and decrease its Speed just to give it shitty ass Frisk?

It legitimately feels like a mistake. A lot of the Pokemon in this game are set to learn their "defining move" as soon as they evolve, regardless of level. Tsareena gets Trop Kick, Ninetales gets Dazzling Gleam, Crabominable gets Ice Punch, Kommo-o gets Clanging Scales. I don't see why Shadow Bone shouldn't have been the same way.

Heart Scales are laughably easy to get though
