Not really.
I had to cheat at Gardenia. I was as overleved as you would expect from a solo run, yet I couldn't get past the Roserade. I tried everything, down to X item spams and soft resetting until the RNG worked in my favor in very critical moments but it was impossible. I eventually caught the fucker in a master ball, named it BITCH, and forced it to do my HM01 biddings. Everything else was smooth sailing though.
