Not really. I mean, if you have some rare items that you got at retail and wanted to resell years later, yes you could get more than what you paid for it. But, the prices fluctuate, and it's not really possible to make a huge consistent profit.

People used to charge a commission fee plus shipping to re-sell pokemon center items, but now you can just go to PC.com or amazon.jp and buy it from there.
