They just got scolded by Nintendo for doing that because to be honest it was kind of scummy. BW2 is literally Grey but they put in effort as a sequel. Likewise ORAS is literally Z but you cant count on the simple minded fans to catch onto this

They have never made remakes of the 3rd version. There's no Pokemon Volt Yellow or Aqua Blue to Fire Red and Leaf Green.
