I wouldn't expect the AI to do much switching out, particularly to a normal type, and against another human they'd just laugh at you for using the region rodent. If for some reason putting that thing is important to your single player experience I'd go for strong jaw, but I have no idea why you wouldn't just trade it out at higher levels

I love the evolution line so I want to use it through the whole storyline. What I'm asking is that does Gumshoos with stakeout do its job as well as one with Strong Jaw.

Like I said the AI doesn't switch out much, and it probably switches out even less against normal types since they aren't really a hard counter to anything. Just about anything can carry single player, but strong jaw is better since you really wont benefit much from stakeout

Go with Strong Jaw. The AI won't switch, even if you use Yawn.
