Bred a shiny Dhelmise so im pretty happy

I must be doing something wrong or am just astronomically unlucky. Ive tried four different pokwmon on 12 different chains above 150 and haven't seen one. I must be doing something wrong. I abide by the rules posted frequently, but something is off. I have switched MY pokemon a few times, maybe that breaks the chain? I was just doing wishiwashi and it never calls for anything else so its not like i'm not leaving a wishiwashi on the field.

I haven't used a Master Ball since Diamond on Dialga because I've wanted to save it for the first shiny encounter to make sure that I have no way of losing it. This is the first time I've seen another shiny in about ten years.

Protip for people who are shiny hunting in the main game and don't want to be overleveled. I just use pokemon besides my main team. I often end up evolving them and filling my pokedex. It also gives me a chance to use pokemon i normally wouldn't, so its more fun.

A week before SM came out I got a chain of 40 Pinsir in Pt, and spent 3 hours resetting the radar for a shiny before miss stepping and ruining the chain. A few days before I did wild encounter a shiny Gabite and chained a shiny Magmar in that same game, so it's not all bad.

I gotta say, I agree with pretty much everything you said. Except for Salandit being THE best of this gen. He's very high up there, but there are others that I like more.

That said, I do like a lot of waifumons but not because I want to fuck them, usually it's just because I think they're cute, or they became good companions on a team. Mawile was in my top 3 for the longest time way before it got a Mega because, like a lot of Pokemon, it got me to research its real-world inspiration, and I became fascinated with the futakuchi-onna for a while. Didn't ever think of it in a sexual way, I just loved that it was this innocent looking girlish thing with giant beastly hell jaws in its ponytail.

If you mean boosting the shiny rate, there really isn't anything you can do besides acquire the Shiny Charm, which I don't think can be done yet.

Though to increase the odds of a Pokemon calling for help, you'll want to throw an Adrenaline Orb at it. I'm not sure if that just affects the first time it calls, or if it lasts for the duration of the battle, though. Good luck.
