Post secondary education (which I assume you're talking about) has such a varied schedule and usually there are one to two hour breaks in between your classes, which is probably the best opportunity for portable gaming. I'm aware that /v/ and /vp/ are poor samples for anecdotal evidence but a lot of people also play games at work.

When I get home from work I generally prefer to watch TV, go online, or play on consoles/PC than play on a 3DS. That isn't to say that no one plays 3DS when they get back from work but your initial claim is pretty silly and your tone was needlessly condescending.
