I agree. Emerald in general was one of the highest point in the franchise along with Sinnoh games.
The only saving grace of that mess that was ORAS is indeed the hoenn setting and some olympus-tier features like dexnav.

Ah the nostalgia of trying to catch Feebas and collect all the items on this route.

I would disagree, but every time I criticize gen 3, some retard mod bans me for starting gen wars.

I could say gen 4 has the worst pacing, or gen 2 is seriously flawed for its level scaling, or gen 6 has the worst dex, but the bans always come from when I say something negative about gen 3's maps which feel like a chore to Navigate

I liked how large and explorable and central the river was. It seems that we don't really get many huge rivers. Alola I'll excuse since Hawaii has fuck all in terms of large rivers, but I was really disappointed with all of the unsurfable/ only slightly surfable ones in Kalos.
