I'm only just now storming Aether HQ, but honestly didn't catch that Gladion was related to either of them, even though it was really fucking obvious that Lusamine and Lillie are related. Hell, when Hau namedrops Lillie on your first visit you can see Lusamine make a sour face, and she immediately segues into a bit about how children should just listen to adults.

I liked him and Lillie better in Japanese. In Japanese he feels more protective of Lillie while in the English version he does care for her but it doesn't come across as much as in Japanese. And Lillie has a lot of mannerisms and little things that can't be translated very well.
