Skull Grunts: Probably the best voices in the dub. Still kept the spirit of the character without being too overt about it.

The dub is going to be bad, but the voice cast is okay so far. Expect TPCi to ruin the great ost, but they might keep the opening and ending?

I don't think being unable to touch Pokemon thing exists in the games. Stealing Cosmog and standing up to her mother was good but she spends the rest of time being useless with the MC existing as her muscle. The game tries to make you like her by giving her all the scenes but I didn't care about her at all. My opinion is OS, AG, and BW have superior dubs over SM, but the SM dub isn't as bad as the BF, DP, or XY-XYZ dubs.

All of this being said, regarding the SM dub:

Ash, Delia, and Prof. Oak's dub voices are atrocious.
Lana's dub voice is too nasally & lispy, Mallow sounds too old.
Kiawe's dub voice is decent, though the VA needs to actually ACT with emotion.
Kukui's dub voice is bad.
Samson Oak's dub is good, SO glad it wasn't Cathcart.
I'm actually OK with Lillie's dub voice, though she sounds WAY too much like dub Serena.
Sophocles....actually got a GOOD dub voice, yes!
The dub script is still retarded, "PINEAP juice," "CHEEYAH," and "RAPID-ASH" being the most cringe-worthy moments.
At least they didn't fuck with the OST yet, even though TPCi probably will for the actual SM Series!

People will say "Oh but it's SO fluent now and not as stale and boring as before" and probably link that one video from Canpia, and definetly mock you if you "cherrypick" a screenshot from SM saying it looks like crap, but more fluent animation doesn't mean it's inherently better. Yes, TPCi's dub is pretty terrible compared to the 4Kids' dub as a whole and anyone who says otherwise is selling you shit at this point, but at least SM's dub isn't as hideous as XY-XYZ's dub is...for now, anyway, Ed Goldfarb will have his elevator music ready by that time it debuts in earnest, we all know this is a temporary thing with the OST by now because it's a sneak peek.

Cathcart's Oak is easily one of the worst voices in the SM dub, his performance there along with Natochenny's Ash and Delia render the SM dub unlikable by default for me. Cathcart also had Delia say "PINEAP juice," one Team Skull grunt say "CHEEYAH," and the "RAPID-ASH" pun.

In the Diancie movie in the opening when Froakie is battling Meowstic, You can hear Ash giving Froakie commands DURING the "theme". Which I feel takes away from the music or the scene.

In the Japanese version you don't hear any of that just the "theme".
