So which Mainline Game is the most difficult one? Platinum? HG/SS?

SM's actually been the most challenging for me.

At least, not counting the time I was an idiot child during the gba gen.

HGSS when you do a Nuzlocke and use the Trainer ID method to pick your starter. If you end up with Chikorita, you might as well just restart immediately.

SM. No other game pits you against a two one one fight where the opponent has 120bp STAB move in the mid twenties. Trainers also have EVs for the first time, making their Pokemon stronger than anything from previous games.

HGSS isn't that hard, it's just grind heavy.

I think Platinum is the hardest main game, especially to Nuzlocke. That said, I haven't played SM yet because it's not out until the 23rd here.
