Wasn't even just that, I decided I could just incineroar bulk up setup on his snorlax, got to +6 with leech life/bulk up alternating against it, then used flame charge to kill it, then he switches in a fucking magnezone with sturdy that KOs me with thunderbolt.

Seriously, the major fights in this game are significantly harder than any game since gen 4. Anyone who disagrees probably played with xp share.

The AI in this game does so crafty shit, but it's more obvious during Totem Battles.

Olivia and Kahili has pretty weak leads, set up on them with X items.

Get a Drampa for Acerola if you can, kills everything except for Froslass pretty cleanly.

Hala is probably the hardest to cheese. I'd say get a Ghost type but looking now his team is stacked with Dark type moves.

Hala is literally the easiest one, you can run right through his team with any fast bird. I used Archeops and OHKO'd his whole team. Braviary or Fearow probably work too.
