Why did they show us that cutscene
Why did they ruin what could have been a legitimately interesting though not unpredictable plot twist by literally showing us that the 'pokemon helper good guys' are evil.
I actually enjoyed the story and characters in this game a lot regardless. They even made Shadow endearing somehow. But why didn't they show us this in a flashback later in the game once we knew the story of Lillie escaping?

What they should've done is make Lillie look like a thief stealing the pokemon instead of some sad innocent girl running away from the big bad corporation.

Yeah, the imagery was just so fucking....bad, it was so obvious who was good and who was bad in it. It needed to be more ambiguous or even should have looked like she was bad, so we'd be expecting her to betray us when the entire time she was in the right.
