You can sit, but only in a few designated seats. It's weird, there's an animation and everything, but most seats don't have it enabled.

It sucks because in gen 6 I liked to sit down before saving and quitting.

All of these are such little things, and really don't impact the gameplay at all, but them being gone makes the game feel emptier.
