Jesus, that's fucking lame. I thought the fact that their IVs weren't actually raised was to prevent people from giving bottle caps to low level pokemon for IV breeding. Having both of those drawbacks just makes it feel like a total waste of time even getting the cap since it would be faster to just IV breed and get to lvl 50 for battling.

What's even the point of implementing an entire, complicated system for that very narrow purpose? Legendaries were already doing just fine, clearly.

The funny thing is that people shit on XY ORAS even though the means of obtaining competitive Pokémon in those games was much less convoluted and several times more accessible. When it comed to making competitive Pokémon seamlessly, Gen 6 is vastly superior. Prove me wrong.
