I guess it's kind of impossible to find a Pokemon no one likes, because liking a Pokemon can come from things like having a Pokemon become an unexpected star in your team, or it being the first shiny you found or something.

Clefable was like that. While I never disliked it, it was just kinda there until it became one of the best members of the team during a Diamond challenge run. Now it's pretty high on my list.
The same run also created an almost irrational hate for Milotic

While I was a little disappointed knowing Chespin would evolve into that, I grew to love this big ol' teddy bear of a 'mon.

Allow me to shed some light on this situation.

One part was that they expected something more snail-like, and they built up this idea that didn't match with what they expected. See: Ballio instead of Primarina.

Another part was that one troll that thought it should have a specific gender. It was a troll that people kept feeding, yada yada. I do feel that its design is more feminine than masculine, but that's personal preference, and isn't overly feminine like say...Jynx.

And the third part is that some pokephiles find it attractive for being so chubby, so it gets the ire of the anti-pokephiles. Same people that constantly complain about Gardevoir, but with enough of the previous ammunition to try and make a point.

Overall, I think the issue is "Some people had expectations that weren't met, and a troll made things bad."

Though most of the hate is mostly vocal minority sort of schtick, as is with most of /vp/.

I always liked how Bellsprout and Weepinbell look. Victreebel, not so much. I guess it feels like a departure from how comical the first two look like (Which, to be fair, applies to many lines in different ways).

Going by your post I assume you're unfamiliar with Showderp, a sort of continuous gauntlet where someone calls champ; that person then becomes "champ" and the first six posts after his claim that contain pokemon suggestions form his team, which he will then use on Pokemon Showdown against the OU ladder. The thread's goers then follow champ match to match, spectating and harassing the shit out of champ and whoever he's facing. Sometimes it can be funny, and sometimes it can be mindblowing watching weird shit go down.

What you see here is probably the best example of a damn great Showderp match where champ's simisear completely bulldozes an ubers team by itself..
