Hey your situation sounds similar to mine and I fixed it. Download the lumaupdater.cia from https://github.com/Hamcha/lumaupdate/releases and install it via FBI. Update luma and hopefully it would work for you. Worked for me this way. My version was 5.5, and updated to the latest hourly (6.6), and the game worked.
