The first four captains can be rematches in their houses anytime after finishing their trials. This unlocks your memory of them, you can use that to change your intro pose and throwing animation. And I think you'd stand behind idle animation too. Ilimas is retarded and I don't think it fits his character.
The only Kahuna you can challenge whenever are Hala and Olivia, since they're part of your elite four. Acelora is the only captain you can challenge for the same reason.

If the title was free why wasn't there a champion? I get that they're fighting for my title now, but why were they even an elite four when there wasn't one before you beat them? I'm assuming they have some kind of payroll and that was their designated position. Therefore with you as champion hold a position above theirs. Right? I mean I get that they can be after your title and position with friendly competition by at the same time the champion gives the e4 some sort of direction?

You can rematch Mallow where you found her, Lana is in another house in the same town, find the one with the twins in the back room and battle them to battle her, Kiawe is part of tower defense, Ilima is in the house with the pool in Hau'oli, Acerola becomes an E4, Sophocles is unchallengeable and i thinkt he fairy captain can be fought in her house in the seafolk village.

Mallow can be rematched this way as well as appear at the battle tower.

Kiawe does not have this rematch, but is a possible challenge at the E4 champion as well as a battle tree guy.

Sopocles is a e4 champion challenger.

Acerola is an e4 member.

Mina is a postgame battle during the ub quest. Don't know if she appears in the e4 or tree.

He's not an E4 champion challenger at all. You can battle him in the same way you battle Mallow and Lana. His team is around level 20-30 as well.

It's also good to note that Kiawe can only be fought in the Battle Tree in Sun, while Mallow is only in Moon.
