I think nightdoge could have done with being more wolf-like, or at the very least a proper werewolf, but I don't think it's that bad.

As is probably common knowledge by now though, Daydoge is shaping up to be one of my favorite pokemon. It's a simple design, but it's effective, and not too over the top. It's clearly based on a real animal, but has enough unique features to make it identifiable.

To be fair, Rockruff doesn't really resemble a wolf pup so much as it does a Border collie or something. Having it turn into a Tibetan mastiff would be weird, but having it turn into a plain old wolf was also unexpected.
