Aegislash is good, that I will disagree with, but it is a heavily overrated Pokémon. I find them predictable and easy to disassemble.

I've always preferred Eviolite Doublade, personally. Keeps its high defense and high attack at all times, instead of having to dance around.

You got it wrong, it means that king's shield will lower the attack even if aegislash itself is immune to the contact move that was used.
Non-contact moves still do trigger it.
