>Gladion is named after the gladiolus (sword lily)
maybe the next games will be Pokemon Rose and Pokemon Iris or something like that. or maybe the towns in Su&Mo were intended to be named after flowers?

Jesus. So this is what they meant?
Basically every single character is named after flowers of sorts?
Was not expecting that, but then again, Gamefreak never does what we expect when we do expect it
>but muh floetternal!
Reminder that basically every major character since Gen 1 is named after plants in Japan.

This isn't new; nearly all Pokemon characters are named after plants. Even look at the Jap names of the gen 1 gym leaders. The localization didn't start catching on until gen 6.
Names mean next to nothing they're interchangeable and could have just as easily been named something else and no difference would be made... just saying.

Interesting.
Then, is this all it is for "flowers"? Is there anything else it could mean?
Hawaii you idiots
It could also be that Magearna's signature move is Fleur Cannon.
Which is French for Flower Cannon.

It could have just meant "it all comes together" since there have been so many flower-based character names in the past, though the games seem to have a lot more flower-based character names than older games - or at the very least the connection is more obvious. We also have that Magearna's signature move is Fleur Cannon, flowers are often connected to Hawaii, and probably other connections I've forgotten.
Oh, also, the Italian word for flower is "Fiore", which is the name of the region in the first Ranger game. And the protagonists in that game? Solana and Lunick.
