Not really. I'll watch the first 10-15 SM episodes out of curiosity, but if its really just a mindless comedy series, I'll probably drop it and only watch it when something important or special happens.

Extremely curious to see how they handle battles. The original had some pretty shitty battles, but made up for it with the heart every episode had. Island of the Giant Pokemon didn't have to be there, and it didn't have any battles but goddamn was it fun.

XY&Z was full of great fights, but the heart and grit was kinda missing. It was still pokemon, but I wanted a little more soul in it.

SM should have a good balance of battles and heart, then it'll be great. That's all it really needs.

The only thing I didn't like about XY was the shipping (which was really only a problem with the fanbase rather than the actual show) and that it took a literal year for Serena to become relevant.
