With the release of Sun and Moon, our 4chan-spawned Pokemon community is looking to recruit some new talent in the art of making really edgy stories come to life. Yes, it's a forum RP, except everyone present (mostly) knows how to write, which could be a good or bad thing depending on your point of view.
The setting is one of the Pokemon world taking place a vague time after the games' history, where three Pokemon teams are fighting each other. (Shut up we started before Pokemon Go.)
Team Valiant: A team of would-be heroes and vigilantes. Certainly the smallest and least well-funded of three, though they definitely have a lot of spirit to make up for it. A pretty ragtag group of misfits who primarily want to stop the other two teams from achieving their goals.
The Legend Foundation: These guys have all united under one common, beautiful purpose. They all really, really like Legendary Pokemon and want one for themselves. Lots of scientists, religious nuts, and Pokemon hunters.
The Sinister Syndicate: Outright criminals, reminiscent of Team Rocket. They want money power and influence in all of its forms. Many of its members are just brutish thugs, but there are also some higher minds at play directing the organized crime.
Your character will belong to one of these three teams. Each team has restrictions on what types of Pokemon they are allowed to use, though many types are also shared between the teams. (A helpful graph will follow.) This presents a unique metagame for those of you who enjoy sim battling, which is how most battles are settled in the RP. We also, until recently, have employed Tier Shift to make things more interesting, however, the start of the S/M format will temporarily axe this feature. Regardless, our community has its own private Showdown server to facilitate battles, which can be updated as needed.

I'll answer any questions as best I can.
what's the current hot topic in universe? what are people currently getting their shit worked up about?
>>29939841
The RP's begun its most recent iteration, so the action's just starting. Legend and Sinister are about to do a huge trad deal to save both their hides, and Valiant's going to try and stop them.
what's the gist of the team restrictions, i don't need a graph just a main idea
also which crew hates which other crew the most?
>>29940019
I actually forgot the graph like a derp.
Theyre just type-based designed with the teams' character in mind.
They all hate each other pretty equally, individual characters can hate one team more or less than the other.
Valiant obviously tries to stop both of them., Legend obtaining GODLIKE POWER is obviously something no one wants, and nobody likes having their shit stolen by Sinister. There's reason for anyone to come to blows.
I urge anyone who needs to know stuff come into the discord linked above.

>Finally found the autism thread
Is it more autistic to bump our thread by saying that?
>>29941228
No.
Nothing could be posted ITT that would be more autistic than the OP.
>>29941692
That sounds like a challenge to me.
Hey OP, this has piqued my interest. Would I be allowed to run a character that prefers to stay under the radar, taking a survivalist/opportunist approach to the team conflict and not outright joining any side?
Because if notI guess valiant sounds good
>>29942435
Neutral characters aren't really allowed anymore because they never manage to do anything interesting save 1 or two miracle occasions.
Come join the discord anon, we'll help you out.

>No Water Legendaries
Really?
>>29942603
There aren't THAT many water legendaries. And the Legend Foundation does not have any legendaries - they are seeking them (for profit, for religious reasons, for the thrill of the hunt). If they had access to all types that have legendaries, they'd have everything except like Poison.
>>29940073
What's the part in the middle for?
>>29945714
Belongs to all teams
>>29945815
And the ones in the corners are shared, then?
>>29945982
Yep.

>pokemon restrictions
Meh, I wanted to hunt legends with a water type
>>29946180
How are dual-types handled? Like, say, Flygon?
Can't be used because its types don't match a team?
Valiant because ground's its first type?
Both Valiant and Legend because it's both Ground and Dragon?
Something else?
>>29946309
You still can. Just not ANY water type.
You've still got Starmie, Slowbro, Slowking, Gyarados, Mantine, Pelipper, Swanna, Kingdra, Lanturn, Rotom Wash, Ludicolo, Azumarril, and Empoleon. And in not too long, Primarina.
>>29946593
I was just thinking of Primarina, actually.
>>29946387
As long as one type qualifies you can use it.
>>29946646
Primrina is a fairy type, which cna be used by anyone.
