But yeah, having trainers visible in battle makes shit like this a problem. It wasn't a problem in PBR because the models were more optimized.

Either optimize the models, or leave the trainers out of battles.

The 3DS could EASILY have handled these games if Gamefreak wasn't so incompetent.
The models in gen 6 and 7 are SO overly complicated that they stress the fuck out of the hardware.
Smash worked in 3D, on the old 3DS, in perfect 60fps, with 4 players.

Gamefreak is 100% at fault for the performance issues in Pokemon.

Why they made Alola Exeggutor to scale but not Wailmer is the real question.

I don't know how he did it, but Sakurai somehow perfected the art of 3ds graphics. Kid Icarus Uprising and Smash 3ds are two of the best looking 3ds games.
