and i've heard that their Gen VI data structure doesn't allow DLCs, because they need to rewrite the whole game

I would bet that this is the gen DLC is coming to, probably some form of friend safari, a couple new islands, two new mega evolutions, and a way to get the old stones, and a better version of battle tree/more people in battle tree
