The sad part was they wasted their time doing this when the +20 to regular's Atk was enough of a buff. Alolan Dugtrio is shit. Excadrill does the job better offensively.

It wasn't really a rush. It was just unnecessary. Another mon could've gotten an Alolan form, like Machamp. It should've gotten it along with Golem to complete the trade evos' retraining.

The art this gen has been pretty bad. It doesn't mean anything. Plenty of people didn't like mons like Bewear, Palossand, Mimikyu and the starters until they saw the model because the art looked bad.

Loved it the second I saw it. Felt the same way about KlefkI last gen before it swagplay made it popular.
Just wish it got to keep Arena trap instead of not!gooey, it does not have the bulk for that. They even could have made it so the hair was used to trap the opponent to keep the theme. Would have ruined Clefable's day so hard

I agree it's not supposed to be cool or majestic like some other Pokémon. It's supposed to look silly and ridiculous looking, however most people don't get that so they get a lot of hate. Even though they obviously meant to have some derp factor or goofyness to it

The problem is that in the artowrk, they make Diglett/Dugtrio noticeably darker, which makes them look more like tanned surfer dudes
In-game, they're the same color as regular Diglett/Dugtrio, which were already washed out to begin with.
