I think X/Y can be forgiven because it was their first time making models, engine and things from scratch, but this just feels lazy. Most of the concept art went unused. Characters are boring and forgettable. Lazy postgame, but that is sort of a theme with the 3d games.

I actually liked Platinum though. Yeah slow and HM heavy , those are flaws. And I guess Sinnoh was kinda dull, except for the snow place and the extra island were great. There just seemed like more content, plus the little things like the soundtrack that matched the time of day, the Poketch was amazing, the Battle frontier was good, I don't know. I'm a gen 4 and 5 fan , though i can see why some arent

Pokemon 5/10. Only like about about 25% of them

Characters 6/10 Lusamine was ridicilious. The plan behind it was pretty much "Want muh UB's". Gladion was ok. Lillie was good. Can't stand the majority of the captains.

Difficulty 4/10. Slightly harder than XY.

Region 2/10. The least amount of free exploration. Horribly linear and empty. A big NO

Music: IMO not really great. To much mixed without any remarkable highs.

Dissapointing games for the 20th anniversary. Enjoyed XY more overall, especially since the transition between 2D and 3D added a enjoyable note to them. Good ideas, horrible executed. The trials were mostly boring and are those things I want to get over as quickly as possible. Totem are the only interesting part of them and they are not really as hard as some say (except the f****** Wishiwashi one)

Its okay, the whole taking away the grid thing and making it more linear/story oriented was a mistake. X/Y were better IMO.
