For everybody who's actually buying the game, what are the odds one actually receives the order BEFORE the 18th? Using Prime most are labeled to be shipped out on the 16th. Is it common to get the game a day or two early?
I often get mine a day early, but I live like 6 hours from the distribution center.

How did you set it up in your cart to arrive on the 18th? I pre-ordered at a store but thought Amazon might be more convenient.
Not much chance for me, because I ordered from the official Nintendo store.
Possible, but unlikely. My order is in the exact same state as yours. It could arrive earlier than the 18th, but I wouldn't necessarily count on it

There is a lot of factors in play, it's definitely not common.
Just consider that your order is one of many just like it on that same day, when humans are involved you can't be certain.

When I placed the order around 2-3 weeks ago, Prime/Nintendo, not really sure, said they would make sure all deliveries would occur on the availability date. I don't know if that's still the case now.

Just get the shipping option that says it'll arrive that day. Prime 2 day shipping works that way automatically.

It's never happened to me before. Probably depends on where you live, but I always get games from Amazon the day they say I get them.
