In all honesty though, I'm willing to bet if we ever get to encounter the UBs natively, without them being altered by the wormholes, they will have a lower main stat and lose their ability.

UBs are the ones who a) survived the wormhole and b) were cloaked in its z energy.

They were thus either weaker or subject to mass selection at some point. Maybe a combination of both. That would explain their 570 BST, which is better than most third evos and lesser than most legendaries

Since Cosmog is actually an UB so the boxart legendaries are technically UBs.
