Water Bubble reduce damage from Fire type attacks and make Araquanid immune to burns, it DOUBLES the power of any and all Water type moves used by it. That makes its new move Liquidation, an 85 base power physical water type move, have 170 power. It has the potentially to hit wit an attack as if it had a base attack stat of 190, if calculations by Smogonites are correct. That's Mega Mewtwo X levels of power.
And, because it learns Entrainment, it can pass Water Bubble to its allies to make them have Water Bubble too. Think Mega Swampert, Gyarados, Starmie, Golisopod, etc - I think you can see where this is going... in short, this is a really freaking good ability.
Oh my
(Not my info by the way)

it's still slow and predictable, and loses a ton of damage if it tries to be unpredictable. and doubles are a joke

How do you know?
Some people mistook Araquanid as an ultra beast when the demo was mined.
"190" base attack would give it a 574 BST, just 4 points higher than a beast.
A spread similar to Xurkitree's.
Who resembles Guzma, a Bug specialist who uses the other Bug/Water as his ace.
Thanks Kek.This is honestly starting to get kind of creepy. Not that I'm complaining, but it just doesn't make sense that fucking Water type Huge Power would be a hidden part of Bubble Buddy's ability.

Restrictions on passable abilities.
Could be an interesting gimmick, but the majority of worthwhile water-type attackers benefit from their ability greatly.
>>29897979
How?
>>29898120
>120
>190 - Araquanid's base attack = 120
2 spooky.
There's also the fact that some thought it would be an Electric types due to its eyes.
Then when we got the animations its eyes light up for no clear reason.
